Teen Relationship Help?

OK, so this is a long story so prepare yourselves. I was friends with a girl for a few months before I asked her out. We went out a few times over 2 months (In which we did not kiss), but then we had to break up because I am going to a residential high school next year and we will basically never see each other since I'll only be back on weekends. We have still friends and we talk frequently about how we still really like each other. We are going to fly kites this week (because she promised me she would when we were still dating) and my questions are these-Can I kiss her? Should I try to get back together with her?
