Good books suggestions?

im in high skool, so i don't want any classic literature. however, that new teenage paranormal romance stuff is disgusting. i've already read harry potter, the sarah dessen books, eragon books, and the lightening theif series. i just finished the kite runner, my sister's keeper, and a thousand splendid suns and i loved both of them. im really just looking for a good page-turner book (teen or adult fiction) w/o alot of romance.
