In love with one of my best friends?

Okay, so there is a really cute boy at my school. Just thinking about him seems to make my problems ebb away. We've been best friends for about two years, but I don't know if he thinks of me as more than just a friend. I would rather have him as just a friend than nothing at all. I recently lost my boyfriend, but I felt this way before I even met that boy. I really thought that the last boy was 'the one'. He very well could have been, and I still carry his picture in my locket. But I really do love this boy, and I would tell him everything if I could find the words without tears. Does anyone know what I should do?
