How do you know when a player likes you?

There's this guy who people 'say' likes me but he a big time player. He stares at me all the time and his friends say they have caught him fantasizing about me all the time like he 'wants' me. He calls me hot and is a teenage pervert. Does he like me or is he just being himself? How do you know? What should I do?
