Does a tattoo representing my early miscarriage sound like a bad idea?
Two months ago today I had a miscarriage at a little over 6 weeks pregnant. I grew very attached the moment I knew I was pregnant. When I miscarried the actual embryo came out as a whole thing. You can make out features on it and everything. It had arm and leg buds, eyes, veins, a nose. Everything. I feel like nobody really understands because it was such an early pregnancy loss so they don't think of it as a big deal. I still have the picture of it on my phone and it's such a big deal to me. I got a locket with the name Ryann (Don't know if it was a girl or boy) and the date 4/6/11 inscribed on the inside. There's a bird on the locket which I've always associated with my lost baby. I want to get a tattoo of a bird flying out of a cage to symbolize my baby being set free. I feel like people are going to think I'm crazy or something. I'm not getting the name or date tattooed or anything. It will just be a little tattoo on my hip or foot. What do you think?
