Anybody know the name of this book?

There was a boy named Jordan(i believe) who was jumped into a gang, and they wanted him to steal his own grandfathers locket, and when he wouldn't do it he ran from them and mysteriously went back in time and had to work as a black slave and see what it was like first hand.
